School visits, pre- and extracurricular, with or without a guide, are organized by registration only.

Unguided visits for preschoolers, school and extracurricular groups

  • Mandatory registration at least 48 hours in advance via form.
  • Free admission to the museum for the group and accompanying persons.
  • Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. and between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. (museum closing).

Guided visits

  • Swiss public schools (mandatory level from age 6 and post‑compulsory secondary II): free.
  • Preschool (nurseries, daycares, APEMS) and extracurricular (community centers) Lausanne: free.
  • Private schools, universities and schools outside Switzerland: CHF 100 per group, admission included.
  • Mandatory registration at least 2 weeks in advance via form.
  • Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday, between 9:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. (museum closing).
  • Visit duration: 50 minutes

Documentation Center of the Collection of Art Brut

Possibility to consult by appointment the documentation of the museum's specialized center, which brings together nearly 10,000 titles and 500 films, including the rich and varied archives of Jean Dubuffet as well as documents (books, articles, DVDs, etc.) produced or acquired by the Collection of Art Brut.
