Tom Stanley of Winthrop University (Dept. of Fine Arts) in South Carolina sends news about the Art Brut creator Gene Merritt:
Aged 77, Gene Merritt has retired to a senior home. Here he poses with his Vehicles exhibition catalogue, which contains illustrations of several of his works. In 2013, Tom Stanley donated 33 drawings by Merritt to the Collection de l'Art Brut.
