Pierre Jain's sculptures: An Uncultivated Encyclopedia / exhibition in Kerlaz (France)

From July 12 to 23, 2017, the Les sculptures de Pierre Jaïn: une encyclopédie sauvage [Sculptures by Pierre Jaïn: an uncultivated encyclopedia] presents 60 works by this Breton self-taught sculptor, in his birthplace Kerlaz.  

Recognized by the Collection de l'art brut thanks to Dr. Pierre Maunoury, Pierre Jaïn (1904-1967) was a self-taught sculptor working on wood, stone and bone. His oeuvre flows across trends: at once "brut" (raw) and naive, it is also in the line of folk art.
