Death of Anne-Lise Jeanneret

The Collection de l'Art Brut sadly announces the passing of Anne-Lise Jeanneret, on January 9, 2017.

Since 2006, visitors to the museum have enjoyed viewing the highly expressive and intense works produced by Anne-Lise Jeanneret. Born in La Sagne (Neuchâtel) in 1950, Anne-Lise Jeanneret grew up in an attentive and loving family. She entered the Fondation Perce-Neige (home for the disabled) in Les Hauts-Geneveys (Neuchâtel) in 2001, where she continued to actively participate in the drawing workshop.

She enjoyed doing wax crayon drawings on large sheets of paper, in which she would proceed to insert various personal symbols—signs, letters names and numbers—to do with different milestones of her life. She would then proceed to cover everything in vivid color lines going from bottom to top, thus setting the sheet of paper ablaze. Her talent as a colorist stands out in her works.

The Collection de l'Art Brut holdings include a set of 25 of her drawings.
