Death of the great collector and philanthropist Sam Farber

The Collection de l’Art Brut is deeply sorry to announce the recent death of Sam Farber on June 16th (2013).
An art collector and philanthropist, Sam Farber played a major role in the history of Art Brut in the United States.  Moreover, in September 2012, he generously donated one of Pascal Verbena's major works, The Holocaust, to the Collection de l'Art Brut.
Mr. Farber had scheduled a trip to Lausanne in the fall of this year to see the piece displayed in the museum's Permanent Collection.
The Collection de l'Art Brut offers its condolences to his wife, Betsey Farber, and his entire family.
